Buttock Implants

If you feel your buttocks are underdeveloped or ill formed, butt implants might be the solution for you. Butt implant surgery involves the surgically inserting of semi-solid silicone implants into the buttocks to make its size and shape more pleasing. Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian have made the world aware of how much the buttocks can add to a woman’s allure.

Others are unhappy with having a flat, wide or drooping buttocks caused by pregnancy, weight gain or loss, aging, or heredity. Clothes don’t fit or look good on them. These people can get frustrated, especially when exercise and muscle toning fail to give them the shape they want.

Addition of butt implants is only one of the ways to get the butt you want. Liposculpture or use of laser liposuction, can also alter the shape of the buttocks if that lovely roundness has slipped. Butt implants are placed through incisions along the crease between the buttocks and the top of the leg, hiding any residual scarring. Implants can be placed above or below the muscle. They are typically placed above the seating area, to keep normal activities from shifting them.

You will probably be able to resume exercise and normal physical activities within two weeks, but should refrain from exercising for at least six weeks. Your recovery time depends on the procedure you’ve chosen, the placement of the implants and your own ability to heal.

If you are unsure about having butt implants surgically inserted an alternative procedure to consider may be the Brazilian Butt Lift – a buttock augmentation treatment that uses fat transfer for shaping. Fat transfer involves taking fat from another area of the body and injecting it into the buttocks to increase the size or change the shape. The benefits are two fold with this procedure, you get rid of fat you don’t want on your tummy or thighs and put it somewhere else.. your buttocks.
