Laser Lipo

When it comes to Laser Lipo, the perfect weather tells you that you want to look great in a bikini (or Speedo!) most of the year. Outdoor pools are plentiful you want to be able to relax and feel good about your appearance year-round. If you have pockets of body fat on your hips, thighs and upper arms just won’t go away no matter how regularly you exercise, take heart, there is help nearby. If you maintain a healthy weight, laser liposuction may be the answer for you.

You know how difficult it is to consistently diet and exercise alone, and sometimes it just isn’t enough, no matter what you try. Your body has places that fat just clings to like it’s trying to save it’s own life. If you close your eyes, you can immediately picture the primary war zones: belly, hips, butt, thighs? Using liposuction as your primary weapon might be the most effective way of ending the war forever. Fatty trouble spots will disappear permanently. Liposuction may seem extreme for a few fatty spots, but they aren’t going away by themselves, are they?

Liposuction is a surprisingly simple concept. Laser Liposuction is a surgical technique that improves the body’s shape and lines by removing excess fat from deposits located between the skin and muscle. Liposuction removes fat deposits and sculpts a specific part of the body, such as the face, neck, arms, abdomen, hips or thighs by drawing out the fat cells.

Laser Liposuction has an amazing side benefit. The laser heat encourages the skin to tighten during the procedure, so you aren’t left with saggy skin in the area the liposuction targeted.

First, the fat is melted with a laser, so even the wily fat that is hiding between layers of other tissues is melted and ready to be carried away by the powerful suction of the mini-cannulas, which is like a vacuum head. Since the fat is extracted in liquid form, the cannulas are especially small, and the incisions made to accommodate them are also very small.

Removing the fat cells means they won’t come back. Although this doesn’t mean that you will not gain weight again, it means the weight won’t be in the same area. Laser liposuction is best for smaller areas, for a higher volume liposuction, your physician can recommend other types of liposuction more suited.

Most lipo is performed on an outpatient basis, but you will need to discuss recovery time and know what routine you need to follow. With Laser lipo, recovery is very rapid, much faster than traditional liposuction. You may have some bruising or swelling, but many people resume their normal activities almost immediately. Your plastic surgeon will tell you more about the procedure and the recovery during your first consultation.

Good candidates for liposuction should be near (within 30 of) their ideal weight, as liposuction is not a weight loss procedure. In addition, you should be in good health and have realistic expectations. Non-smokers tend to have better results, so if you are a smoker you might want to consider quitting, both for the success of your liposuction, and because you know in your heart that smoking is not good for you.
