Liposuction – Vaser Hi Def Lipo for Difficult Areas
A liposuction technique called Vaser Hi Def Liposculpture helps people with excess fat in areas that are difficult to treat with traditional diet and exercise methods. Vaser Lipo uses ultrasonic sound waves, called ultrasonic liposuction, to help break apart fat so it is easier to remove in hard to treat areas such as the chin, neck, cheeks, knees and calves.
Vaser Lipo starts with injection of a special saline solution known as “tumescent fluid.” This contains a numbing agent for the target area and shrinks blood vessels to reduce bleeding and bruising.
Very small-diameter ultrasonic probes are inserted through small incisions. These probes resonate at a high ultrasonic frequency, shaking loose fat cells — but leaving blood vessels, nerves and connective tissues unharmed. The loose fat cells mix are drawn into the tumescent fluid, which is then removed using using a gentle suction from the probe head.
After the Vaser Lipo procedure, patients can help their skin to tighten and smooth with doctor recommended regimes after the procedure, such as massage therapy to enhance results and speed recovery.
Patients with sagging skin or stretch marks are not recommended ultrasonic liposuction surgery as it requires the body to have good skin tone and elasticity for optimal results.
Figures show that more than 70,000 liposuction procedures worldwide have been performed using the VASER system. Although Vaser Lipo can be used for large volume fat removal, it specializes in its ability to direct treatment in small specific areas like under the chin, upper arms, neck, and legs.
